Marketing Coalition Meeting: Podcasts

Podcasts, what are they? Why they help authors build followers, and how do you make and distribute them?
Author Virginia R. Bensen will demonstrate how she creates podcasts with equipment she bought for less than $100. She’ll discuss from personal experience how important it is for authors to create their brand, and that podcasts are just one of the tools that is needed to successfully market themselves and their books. She promises we’ll have some hands-on fun while learning about podcasting, and actually create a podcast during the meeting. Members who have smart phones should bring them. After we create our first Writers Alliance podcast, you’ll be able to call in on your phone and listen. There is no charge to listen to the podcast.
Remember, this Marketing Coalition meeting will be held in Meeting Room B of the downtown Library Headquarters, 401 E. University Avenue Saturday March 7th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
