3rd Annual Sunshine State Book Festival

The third annual Sunshine State Book Festival will be held in Gainesville, Florida, on Saturday and Sunday, April 9 and 10.
Saturday’s festival begins at 11:00 a.m. and goes until 5:00 p.m. in the spacious Oaks Mall on Newberry Road near I-75. Admission is free. Since the festival is completely indoors, it will be held rain or shine.
Attendees will have an opportunity to meet and engage with authors, purchase books, and have them signed.
Bring the kids or grandkids. They will enjoy the children’s area with storytellers and activities. There will also be hourly drawings for free books.
Sunday’s program will take place at the Matheson History Museum, 513 E. University Avenue in downtown Gainesville from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Festival attendees will enjoy four presentations by well-known authors and subject-matter experts.
The festival is sponsored by the Writers Alliance of Gainesville.
