Author Elizabeth Randall: Creating In-Depth Storylines and Plots for Fiction and Nonfiction

July 11, 2021, 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Writers think up many ideas for books and stories and articles; sometimes these ideas just seem to come to us. That is the easy part. The hard part is to work the idea, to provide it with context and a strong narrative. An awareness of the intuitive and the acquired elements of the craft enables writers to bring depth to their work.

This presentation focuses on writing habits, structure, pacing, figurative language, and writing with emotion and humor.

Randall is an award-winning book author and a widely published freelance writer. She is a retired English teacher with a Master’s Degree in English Education.

Check out her author page on Amazon where her many books are listed: Murder in St. Augustine: The Mysterious Death of Athalia Ponsell Lindsey; Haunted St. Augustine and St. Johns County; Women in White: the Haunting of Northeast Florida; An Ocklawaha River Odyssey, and The Floating Teacher [out of print].
