Bacopa: Submissions Deadline Extended through May 15, 2026.
Bacopa Literary Review is an annual international print journal published by the Writers Alliance of Gainesville (WAG).
Our sumission deadline for the 2026 journal has been extended to May 15, 2026!
A Top Prize of $200 and an Honorable Mention of $100 will be awarded in each of the five categories:
- Fiction
- Creative Nonfiction
- Formal Poetry
- Free Verse Poetry
- Visual poetry

For the second year, Bacopa will include a Best of WAG designation in each category. Best of WAG selections will be featured in the journal, and each will be in the running for a prize in its category. The submission fee is waived for WAG members and all WAG members are entitled to a free print copy of the journal. Founded in 2010, the jounral’s overall mission to uplift and enrich the literary culture of Gainesville and the North Central Florida region, Bacopa is now an established and internationally recognized journal, receiving over a thousand submissions a year from writers all over the planet.
