SUMMARY:Mentoring Group to Start Up
DESCRIPTION:A new WAG mentoring group is being formed for novice writers who are in the early stages of their writing careers. This is not a critique pod\, although we may exchange writing feedback at times. The main focus will be both practical and emotional support. \nThe learning curve is steep\, not just for writing craft\, but for things like types of edits available\, pros and cons of self-publishing\, finding an agent\, etc. It can be quite overwhelming. Also\, we’ll provide support and guidance for issues such as maintaining motivation\, what to do when you’re sure your words are garbage\, etc. \nWe need a few experienced authors as well—those who would like to help “pass the torch” to the next generation of writers. Initially\, we will meet monthly. The first meeting will be Wednesday\, October 13\, 2021\, 7:30-9:00 p.m. on Zoom. \nHave questions or want to sign up?
